The film
Words Left Unspoken is a captivating documentary telling the life story of international public speaker and stand-up comedian Joze Piranian, who spent the first 20 years of his life avoiding speaking at all costs. We follow his reckoning with his severe stutter and journey of self-love.
From sharing his personal struggles on stage in front of a room of complete strangers to becoming a keynote speaker on resilience and inclusion, we immerse ourselves into a unique quest of healing trauma and overcoming adversity. Joze travels back to his home country, Lebanon, to make peace with his past and have the conversations he never dared to have before with his family.
The film addresses navigating the world with an invisible disability, discrimination, men’s mental health, and complex familial relationships. Approximately 75 million people live with a stutter around the world.
